Hi,

Your question is very judicious and I appreciate it. Both Meftal and Febrex plus have paracetamol. Thus, you can take only. Meftal-P is not recommended in children. If Your baby is 10kg, 10×15mg/dose that is 150mg/dose every 4 hours. Hence, P-250 must be given as 3ml/ dose every 4th hourly. You can use paracetamol every 4th hourly, Febrex plus twice daily and ATM 100 (antibiotic) as prescribed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

You are right, both Meftal and Febrex plus have paracetamol. The dosage of paracetamol or acetaminophen is 10-15mg/kg body weight / dose to be given every 4th hourly. For example: If your baby is 10 kg, acetaminophen is 150 mg/dose every 4 th hourly.

Meftal P is not recommended in children less than 6 yrs of age. Instead you can use P 250 syrup that contains 250 mg of paracetamol in 5ml. So if you want to give 150 mg, 3ml syrup is to be given. Febrex plus can be given twice daily and when you give Febrex, at that time, withhold P 250 syrup. ATM 100 is an antibiotic that helps fight the infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
