It is used in the treatment of certain types of hormone dependent cancers such as breast or endometrial cancers. It works by reducing the effects of certain hormones including oestrogen. Taking megace in uterus cancer will take care of hormonal functions associated with low levels of progesterone and restore the level. It will also cause lowering of estrogen levels to normal. A painful intercourse can have many causes with uterus cancer. It will help to do an ultrasound scan of your pelvis if it has not been done after D and C. This will show any particular abnormalities in the uterus that might be contributing to your pain.
