General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

The answer is no. Misoprostol is a drug used in the termination of pregnancy. It is not prescribed for the purpose of delayed periods. Kindly avoid since it has a lot of side effects like nausea, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

The cause of irregular periods such as polycystic ovaries, obesity and hypothyroidism should be identified and treated effectively.Rarely premature menopause can also be the cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
