Hi, Please help me here. My wife have a problem in one ovary, only right side ovulation can help in pregnancy. So we was trying for IUI since last 3 times in right side ovary. Now she has a cyst in left side ovary which is blocked. Now doctor suggest us NOVALON for that, we have doubt after using NOVALON in this month can we go again for IUI in next month? Or it will effect in ovolution.
Please suggest if she will take NOVALON in this month, can it will effect in next month IUI?
The cyst in the left ovary is most likely either a follicular cyst or a corpus luteal cyst. They tend to disappear by themselves. However they may not go away in a month and take upto 2-3 months to disappear.
Drugs like novelon are used in women with such cysts and have been found useful in some. So take the tablet. But the cyst may or may not go away in a month. So it is difficult to comment if IUI would be possible in the next cycle.
Also if such cyst is coming, then it is best to wait for 3 months before attempting any more induction of ovulation. The cysts indicate a hormone imbalance that may be transient. So this period allows that imbalance to settle and improves chances of pregnancy.
Also repeated IUI back to back after more than 3 cycles does not help. Check if other tests like test for checking if tubes are open, have been done. If not then get them done.
So just take a few months off before repeating the IUI for better results. Try natural conception until then keeping track of ovulation. Hope this was helpful.
Best of luck and may your wife conceive soon.
