It s totally irrational and unnecessary for you to take Nyquil just to go asleep and that too without any logical medical reason. Let me tell you, Prednisone causes some nervousness, restlessness, anxiety, palpitation and mood changes in some patients but that are the side effects which are seen with a long-term use of steroids for some chronic disease for example cystic fibrosis (a disease of lungs). I assure you that you will have no side effects right away with taking the medicine. Please avoid extra burden of unnecessary medicines. Instead practice some meditation exercises, yoga.
