Is It Safe To Take Ofloxacin And Ornidazole During Pregnancy?

Last week on Friday I just have breast milk and when I took home pregnancy test on this week Monday and it came positive with very faint color so after that I started bleeding and test again on Monday night again it came positive, Tuesday morning my bleeding was very much heavy and when I take the pregnancy test again it came negative and I consult with the doctor and doctor told me to take ofloxacin & ornidazole tables. Is it saved to take this tablet and am I still pregnant?

Hi,

The positive pregnancy tests you had maybe false +ve. After so much of bleeding it's rare to have an intact pregnancy OR pregnancy may not be there at all..it was just hormonal imbalance.

I feel only blood HCG testing would have a confirmed result to satisfy you.

Is pelvis can throw light on the status of pregnancy if at all it is present/absence of pregnancy with cause for hormonal imbalance (ovariancyst/pcod).

Please consult a gynecologist, get investigations done to find the exact cause followed by specific management.
