Is It Safe To Take Percocet Along With Fantanyl For Chronic Neck Pain Post Surgery?

Hi my name is Dorothea. I have been in chronic pain for 10 months now, have had 3 major surgeries to my neck and getting ready to have a 4th one in a coupe weeks. Had all these surgeries since January 2015. My neurosurgeon had me on Percocet 10mg---1 every 4 hours, barely touched the pain. today he added a 50mg fentanyl patch also. so I have the patch on plus he wants me to take the Percocet every four hours. I am scared, but didn t want to tell him because I didn t want him to change his mind, Because this pain is excruciating. is it safe to use them this way? If so how long does it take to start taking effect

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the pain is the only matter of concern then it is better to bear this as hard as you could once it reached up to its intensity then it would start reducing in intensity and it would be the phase of analgesic effect and it would be much better than taking such potent analgesic which are not advisable, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
