Is It Safe To Take Sibelium During Pregnancy?

hi, i m experiencing migraine for past 3 years. doctor advised me to take 2 caps of sebellium alongwith nims and its quite effective for me. but now that i am 3 months pregnant, my gyneacologist asked me to stop taking sebellium when i conceived. i am having recurrent episodes of migraine every other day. please tell me shall i now start taking my migraine meds as its been 3 months.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern that you are experiencing migraine during pregnancy. It is bound to happen as increased levels of progesterone during pregnancy would precipitate migraine.
Sibelium is safe to take for migraine when you are not pregnant. Once you are pregnant, it is contraindicated.
Since you are pregnant and the growing fetus should not have adverse effects of drug intake, he only means by which you can control migraine now is by practice of meditation and taking Tablet. Paracetamol 650mg.
Try to avoid triggering factors of migraine like bright light and harsh sounds.
Eat healthy diet. Keep yourself well hydrated by consuming good amount of fluids. Keep your antenatal check-ups in place.
Gradually, as your pregnancy progresses, migraine episodes and intensity would come down.
