Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Taxim-O can be used for treating tonsilitis, pharyngitis and bronchitis. Severe cough may be due to pharyngitis and acute bronchitis both. If there is other cause of cough or other organisms that are not covered by Taxim-O then it will be not cured by Taxim-O. You have not mentioned about duration of the cough, whether it is associated with sputum production or not, whether you are having soreness in throat, fever, weight loss, loss of appetite etc. Treatment can be changed after assessment of all these symptoms.
