Is It Safe To Take Telma And Telista To Control High BP?
Sir,I am 60 years old and am a diabetic patient. I am having high blood pressure. After consultation, the Doctor advised me to use Telma 40 in the morning and Telista AM in the night. Now my blood pressure is normal 129/78 in the morning and 130/85 in the night. My heart beating morning below 80 and in the night 90. Can I continue the same drug i.e. Telma and Telista combination. Is any side affects in future by using the same drug?
Telma contains telmisartan that belongs to the group of antihypertensive medications known as angiotensin receptor blockers or ARBs is used in the treatment of hypertension as well as heart failure and in the prevention of heart attacks and strokes. It may cause nausea or vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, back pain, weakness, muscle pain, hypotension and many more.
Telista AM contains both telmisartan and amlodipine that is used to control high blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels. It may cause sleepiness, ankle swelling, dizziness, tiredness, upset stomach, flushing, increased potassium level in blood, headache, nausea, painful urination and many more.
But every consumers will suffer from any type of side effect when taking these medications, it's not like. Few patients may experience some side effects during using these medications. So, anyone can continue to take both Telma and Telista AM without any tension. If someone notices any side effect during taking these medications then he or she should inform the prescribing doctor immediately for medical help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
