Is It Safe To Take Tylenol After Having Swelling Of The Lips, Fingers And Lower Jaw?

My wife is taking extra strength Tylenol & she is having a reaction to it ,like Hives or swelling of the lips, lower jaw, fingers,,, Is this a normal reaction??? she was taking it as a result of a new knee replacement.. Please advise... thanks... jim davenport

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain Hives and swelling of lips , jaws and fingers is NOT AT ALL a normal reaction and it is a ADVERSE EFFECT OR ADVERSE REACTION of tylenol which contains acetaminophen..

You should immediately consult your surgeon and tell him about the immediate symptoms.

The medicine should be stopped immediately after consultation as there are many better painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs available which can be take in place of tylenol..

Even you should take other medicine also with precaution and keep a keen watch on any symptoms that you notice after taking any medicine as side effects can cause severe damagaing effects to body.
