Is It Safe To Take Valium To Treat Migraines?

Does Valium help migraines? I ve been having them most of my life, and ibuprofen excedren and all OTC drugs don t touch the pain. But I recently had a friend give me Valium when I had one and it helped a lot. I m just making sure it actually does have a affect before I have another one

Valium does not treat migraine headache. It might help if it was a muscle tension headache because valium is a good muscle relaxant. However, there are safer treatments for headaches. Valium is addictive and often stops working if taken for extended periods of time.
