Is It Safe To Take Xanax Tablet After Intake Of Alcohol?
I regularly have panic attacks in the morning and would take half a tablet of Xanax to help calm me down.. I went out lastnight and got a bit tipsy but I ve now woke up after 4 hours sleep and was wondering would it be safe for me to take a tablet as I feel an anxiety attack coming on?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have Xanax tablet after intake of alcohol which is not a very good combination to use. Xanax should not be combined with alcohol as it will not give its effects. If Xanax is taken with alcohol it can cause and even worsen symptoms such as nervous system effects like dizziness, drowsiness and difficulty concentrating. Even symptoms of physical and mental impairment also stat getting increased. So I would suggest you to avoid alcohol as much as possible and if you are using xanax use it with caution. Drink plenty of water and fluids to get your symptoms relieved. Take proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole. Visit physician if symptoms keep son persisting.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
