Is It Safe To Take Diclofenac Sodium 50mg Tablets?

Is it dangerous to taken generic Diclofena Sodium 50mg tablets for arthritis in my knee for extended time?My doctor advised me to take three tablets daily as needed for pain and inflammation. I am worried about the side effects I have read online. Is this medication safe to use as needed for my pain and swelling?

Diclofenac and aspirin are the drugs of choice for joint pains and iflammation are are used world wide. They are pretty effective in reducing the pain. However, taking these drugs for a long duration do have their adverse effects on the body, especially kidney. Thus, I'd advice you to take the drugs for few weeks but give importance to other factors such as diet, exercises, weight. Decrease in body weight coupled with exercises and a proper diet can help a lot in reducing the pain.
