Is It Safe To Take Endogest Insertion During Pregnancy?

Hello Doctor, I am 31 year old. I am 8 weeks pregnant. I never had a any spotting till now. I visited a doctor and she asked me to take Endogest 200mg as insertion, daily at bed time for 15 days. I want to know if it is safe for my baby and if it has any side effects for me. Also, tell me how long can i use it?
