Is It Safe To Take Expired Dosage Of Indomethacin For Gout In Knee?

I have a case of gout in my knee...Diagnosed by the Dr. at the ER Sunday morning. He prescribed Indomethacin 25mg. I have some 50mg and it expired 10/28/13. Is it OK to take it? The 25mg just isn t doing as good as I recall the 50 did when I had gout in my toe.

Hi

I have gone through your query, i will try to give you suggestion which will be helpful to you.
Expired drug will have lower potency and sometimes may cause serious sideeffects in few. So its better to avoid taking expired drug.If you want to increase the dose of your drug consult your doctor,as long term analgesics intake causes multiple adverse effects.
I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you. I will be glad to help you in case if you have any further queries.

Wish you speedy recovery. Take care.
