Is It Safe To Take Methadone 10mg To Relieve Pain?
taking methadone I am an opiate user and have run out of my medication. I have methadone 10mg tablets I would like to take to relieve pain and stop withdrawals. Would this be safe to do? I don't want to die taking these pills I know they are dangerous.
Hello there, I understand what you are going through, though you haven't given any information regarding why you started taking opioids for which there may be alternate methods to manage pain. As of now its important you need to consult a psychiatrist at the earliest and getting you off opioids will definitely require in hospital treatment. Until you consult your psychiatrist, to manage physical withdrawal symptoms you can take ( reducing the number of tablets) only to make sure you manage the withdrawal symptoms (physical and psychological).
