You have arthritis related uveitis in eye probably and for that you are having steroid eye drops. Well, steroid drops have minor side effects like allergic reactions, redness and stinging. They are generally not a major worry. The serious side effects of long term use of steroid eye drops are increased ocular pressure leading to glaucoma. Also, cataract can be a possibility but it is more with oral steroids. Anyways, both these complications are rare. So, there are little chance of you going blind with steroid use as glaucoma and cataract both can be managed before they get serious. Hope i have answered your question.
