Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Safe To Take Tablets A Month After Their Expiry Date?
I took two tablets of Rejoint ( Glucosamine Sulphate 500mg + Chondroitin Sulphate 400mg ) after a month passed since the expiry of the medicines. This was by mistake. Is it going to harm me anyway? In general what is the effect of taking tablets after their expiry date?
Taking them by mistake once would not harm you in anyway as of now. I will advise that you stop consuming this product and discard it immediately. Most tablets are not very harmful except for a few after their expiry date but are largely inefficient and exposes your system to unnecessary risk.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Thanks. Dr. Ditah, MD.
