Is It Safe To Travel By Train During Fourth Month Of Pregnancy?

hi, my wife is in her fourth month of pregnancy. She has 6 exams of her final year graduation 250km away from where she is currently residing. She has to travel by train to the other city and has to stay at her sister s place for a month to attend the examinations. We are worried if it safe enough to travel by train for 8hrs at a time and also to attend 6 exams (5days gap between each exams) again travel back to her residing city by train in 5th month of pregnancy. please advise...

Travel by train during fourth month of pregnancy, doesn't present any particular risk for the both mother and fetus. Actually, the train journey has no effect on the risks of miscarriage, premature delivery etc. The train journey is considered safe until 37 weeks of pregnancy. After 37 weeks, a pregnant woman should avoid traveling by any means of transport, as the birth of the baby can be occurred any day. So, hopefully your wife will be able to travel by train safely during her four weeks of pregnancy.
