shock and needed the sugar to get the blood levels normal again. In type II diabetics it is very common issue and is more dangerous than

dizziness and
loss of consciousness profuse perspiration, weakness and sudden visual problems, he may be having low blood
glucose. He should take that sweetener food to get the levels back to normal.
The ER staff must have given him Insuline too along with the shots of glucose as this is needed for the glucose to get entry into tissues especially brain. So you are doing right by giving glucose via honey. But keep an eye on the sugar levels to get normal levels.
