General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Redness and swelling can occur as part of an allergic reaction to an insect sting.
In severe cases of allergic reactions there may be additional changes.

Using an oral antihistamine and anti inflammatory pain killer may help.

Eg of anti histamines are benadryl, claritine, allegra, zyrtec

Anti inflammatory pain killers eg ibuprofen, naproxen, cataflam

I hope this helps
