Diagnozed with subcutaneous lupus this past summer. was given 3x days hydroquixine tabs. and clobetasol crème. continuing to take this til I see the DR. in March. However while it has improved, when I use the crème my chest is red as if I have a sunburn which I do not. Is it dangerous to keep using the crème, should I just take the pills

Thanks for query.subcutaneous lupus usually does not need topical steroid cream as it does not have much benefits compared to hydroxychloroquine.stop using it as Long-term use of topical steroids can lead to secondary infection with fungus or bacteria ,skin atrophy, telangiectasia (prominent blood vessels), skin bruising and fragility.use only hydroxychloroquine.regards.
HI Thank for asking to HMC It is nothing to worry even if use the Clobetasol for longer than enough time that will not cause any harm to you, have good day.
