Is It Safe To Use Covancaine Ear Drops During Pregnancy?
Good evening I am 11 weeks pregnant and have bad ear infection in both ears. My hearing is half gone due to what feels like a bubble. With watery substance when I lie on the ear long enough. Is it safe to use covancaine ear drops during pregnancy. It constantly feels like there's a build up of fluid that won't drain.
I understand your concern. Covancaine is not the right drug in this case, first because you seem to have an ear infection and you need an antibiotic, and second because Covancaine is to be avoided during pregnancy, due to potential harm to the fetus. I recommend you see an ear doctor for a prescription. If you live in a country where you do not need a prescription, you can get a topical antibiotic for ear infection, as well as pain medication. If the pain and fullness in the ear continues, despite the medication, then by all means see a doctor.
I hope this helps,
Wishing you all the best.
