Welcome to HCM
I appreciate your health concern
Duphaston is actually a hormone, progesterone, which is a natural hormone for keeping the pregnancy and it is released by ovaries in early weeks of pregnancy for maintaing the pregnancy .it is prescribed in early months for maintaining the pregnancy and avoiding threatened abortions. You need not to worry as it does not effect pregnancy in bad way,and your gynecologist has prescribed this as a precaution as your wife has an ovarian cyst that can effect the pregnancy and may cause decrease levels of natural progesterones which are produced in ovaries.
Keep taking the drug and get regular check ups from ur gynecologist
