Is It Safe To Use Lotrimin For Abdominal Scar Caused After Hysterectomy?
I have a abdominal scar from a hysterectomy (sp) from 30 years ago, I have developed a red area, like an infection, with a small opening. No itching, small amount of seepage(sp). My physician said she thought it was a yeast infection. Told me to put Lotrimin on it. I am unsure about this.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is wound formation then you need to take care of this and if this with infection then it may need antibiotic too, in my opinion best way to see the surgeon and no need take any risk, till then keep the area clean, and it can be tried with " Povidone Iodine" ointment, hope this information helps, take care
