Hi Dear,
Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query .No doubt
melacare gives very good results in improving dark complexion of skin. But it should be used with proper care as it contain ingredients like
steroids, hydroquinine and teritenoin. These ingredients shows photosensitive towards light.
So first of all the method of using it should be correct .You should apply it at night and wash off in the morning after that you should apply sunscreen before going outside to protect skin from damage .Do not apply it when your skin get expose to sun (day time)
You can use melacare for two to two and half month safely. As its long term use is not recommended due to side effects of
hydroquinone and steroids.Slowly tapper off using melacare and switch on to some
home remedies like
-Use
aloe vera cream which very effective in case of dark skin.
-Apply almond oil.
-Drink plenty of water and eat fresh vegetables and fruits.
You can also use creams containing
kojic acid and mitracarpus scaber extract (natural plant product) which are comparatively safer then melacare.
If you will experience any kind of skin irritation or rashes stop using that cream immediately and
consult dermatologist.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
