Is It Safe To Use Ranitidine And Hydroxyzine For Rashes?
i have a rash and the dr discriped ranitidine 150 mg twice a day and hydroxyzine 25 mg 4 times a day , i been take it for three days ...two day worth of medicine left ...i should take it for 5 days but i feel so tired and sleepy and my hair start coming down ....it is geting shorter ...i read in the web site i should dissolved the ranitidine in 6 to 8 ounces with water before take it , i never did this and i do not know i should do it untinl now...what you think i should do ...stop taking the medecine or keep continue until i done two more days????

Ranitidine may have a rare side effect on hairs causing these to be thin, fragile and shorter. However, there seems no justification that the tablet of ranitidine should be dissolved in water before use. Similarly, Hydroxyzine may cause sleepiness and tiredness as a side effect. Therefore, in my opinion you may change or stop ranitidine and may replace it with some ant acid, if required. Also, you may reduce the dose of Hydroxyzine and may taper off till complete weaning from the drug. However, you are advised to make these changes under guidance of your doctor.
