Is It Safe To Use Fentynal Patches Post Expiry?

I have had two back surgies and now am due for another one, anyway for the past 2 weeks I have had severe lower back pain and found my fentynal patches and thought I would try them until I see the doctor next week only thing is they are expired never been open can I still use them???

Hi,

No, you should not use it. infect drug once post dates should never be used. For the pain, you can use some over the counter painkiller like Ibuprofen besides some heat pads. But do not use the expired patch.
