Is It Safe To Use Lotemax For A Long Time After Undergoing PRK Surgery?
Hello I had PRK surgery and I was prescribed the use of Lotemax 4 times a day for the first month after surgery, 3 times a day for the second month after surgery, 2 times a day for the third month and once a day for the fourth month. Considering the side effects I was wondering whether it is okay to use Lotemax this long. Thank you

It seems from the history that you have undergone PRK surgery and you are prescribed with lotemax eye drops for 3 months.
Lotemax eye drops is a weak steroid and it can be used safely compared yo potent steroids like prednisolone.
However lotemax is usually required only for 1 month and we recommend use of steroid eye drops for 3-4 months.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor and get this matter clarified regarding the requirement of eye drops for 3 months.
