Is It To Be Concerned About The Accident During Pregnancy?

This is my first pregnancy, and I am panicking. I'm 5 weeks, 4 days. I was driving a golf car &someone crashed into me &the steering wheel hit my stomach. However, it was higher up, not by my uterus. I had been spotting a week before hand. When I went to get an ultrasound the same day, they informed me I have a mildly collapsed gestational sac. No embryo or normal yolk sac was found. Could this have been from the blow? Or was it just my body before hand? Am I likely to miscarry?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Miscarriages in early pregnancy are mostly due to chromosomal anomalies in the fetus, and are unlikely due to any trauma, and that too in the upper abdomen.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
