Is It To Be Concerned About The Lump Inside The Stitches In The Lip Of A Child?

My 5 yr old daughter fell and put her tooth through her lip (a little under her lip). She had 4 dissolvable stiches inside and 4 regular stiches outside. The stiches came out a couple weeks ago and there is a lump that has developed where the wound was. If you push on the inside, the lump gets bigger on the outside and is a white color. Should I take her back in to a dr in case it s an infection?

This seems a soft tissue infection or accumulated fluid iside wound.

If I were your doctor, I would have insisted upon you to resort to safest non toxic healer of Ayurveda for such problems. Herbal oil IRIMEDADI tel may be applied thrice at least in a day. Allow it to remain there for sometime and spit. If it goes into throat by chance, no harm. It's not palatable.

Also give little turmeric (or Haridra capsules) 1/4 tsp bd with water,, milk or honey to the child. Any infection, swelling, accumulation of fluid would be addressed with perfect healing.
