Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It To Be Worried About The Plastic Wrapper Accidentally Swallowed?
I accidently swallowed a piece of plastic wrapper from a snack pack of almonds. Its the hard part of the seal. This happened last week. It felt stuck behind my tonsils for a few days, I coughed a lil, now it moved to my throat. At night when I lay down I cough, and I can feel it moving. Help!
Sometimes a foreign body or pieces of food can get stuck in the tonsillar crypts. I recommend going in to see your doctor who will shine a light in your throat and be able to see it and remove it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bonnie Berger-Durnbaugh,
General & Family Physician
