Is It True That Once If I Stop Hair 4 U Lotion The Hair Fall Starts Again?

HI, I'm 34 yrs old and during my 2nd pregnancy detected thyroid. Since 1yr taking thyronom 25mg and experiencing severe hair loss.Went to my doctor and she prescribed Trichoton forte and hair 4 u lotion 5%.I've heard that once we stop using had 4 u the hair fall starts again. is that true?

Hi and welcome to HCM,

I read your query and understood your concern.
Yes its true. Hair 4 U or any other topical minoxidil lotion works only until it is applied.
But in your case since your hairfall is associated with thyroid and pregnancy, you maybe experiencing telogen effluvium, a phenomena of hairloss after 3-6 months of a chronic disease and pregnancy.
Keep your thyroid in control, take healthy diet, take oral supplements of biotin and use a shampoo containing biotin ( Ducray brand has one anaphase shampoo ). Your hairloss would reduce soon.
