Is Itchy, Discolored Skin Between The Breasts A Cause For Concern?

I have some discoloration between my breasts and it continues under just one. It feels like dry skin, and will get itchy if I scratch it at all. I ve used Hydrocortisone creme, but only a couple times. Should I just try to be more consistent with the creme, or is this something I should be more concerned about.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This can indicate either an intertrigo (fungal infection), or seborrheic dermatitis. Try continuing Hydrocortisone cream consistently for 5 days. If not getting down, we have to treat with an anti-fungal cream after confirming diagnosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
