Is Itchy Inflammation On The Arms And Stomach Side Effects Of Benadryl?
I had a tooth implant this past Tuesday. I have been taking clindamycin 300 mg. tonight I am having a reaction to something. I am itching and have red blotches on my arms and stomach. I am allergic to amoxicillin I get the same reaction. I just took 50 mg of benedryl Could this be from the antibiotic?
Yes, kit is very much possible that you have a delayed allergic reaction to Clindamycin too. Such symptoms are indicative of allergy only and if it is after taking an antibiotic it is probably the culprit. So my advise is to consult your Dentist again. They can advise an allergic test to check for antibiotics that are compatible for you and will not cause allergic reaction. You can be advised safer antibiotics then. For now you can stop taking Clindamycin too. But continue doing antiseptic mouthwash gargles, warm saline gargles and maintain a good oral hygiene to avoid any chance of infection at the implant placement site..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
