Is Knee Pain Without Any Injury A Symptom Of Arthritis?

not sure what I did to my knee but it is hard to get up and walk on it if I sit at my desk too long. initially it hurt on the bend of my knee but now it hurts in the front. I went to the ortho dr who xrayed it but only said I may have a little arthritis. he gave me Mobic (so) to take for 30 days but it doesn t seem to be getting better. it foes feel better after I prop my leg up at night before I go to bed. I ve never had any issues in the past.

Hello,
It sounds like arthritis. Here are some things you can try. If the mobic did not work then try acetaminophen 1000mg 2-3 times a day for a few weeks and see if that helps
You could also add the supplement glucosamine at 1500 mg daily. This is not a pain pill but supports the tissues in the knee and after a month or so can decrease the pain, but you would need to keep taking it.
Other ideas are lose weight if you are over weight and see a physical therapist. The PT can help you learn how to strengthen the muscles around the knee and take the pressure off the knee joint
Good luck
