Hi and thank you so much for this query. Fungal infection do not need triamcinolone cream for treatment. Clotrimazole is the right drug. If this fails to clear within two week, please get this rash evaluated and managed appropriately. Lamisil is a good drug as well but not really needed for minor infections like ringworms. Why not talk to your doctor on what the exact diagnosis is he seems to be treating for more than one pathology at the same time. I hope this helps. I wish you well.
