Is Lasik Eye Surgery Safe While Having Cylindrical Power?

hello doctor, I am 20 years old. Computer Engineering Student. My eye sight has always worried me. I am suffering from Myopic condition and my power is -3D in left eye and -2.75 in right eye. Few months back I went for a check up and got to know my cylindrical power has increased. Is there some problem with this? and I play semi professional cricket and due to eyesight problems i am finding it hard to concentrate. I am planning to do a LASIK surgery. Any suggestions please.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Lasik surgery can be planned at the age of 20 years as by this age the changes in the curvature of the lens have been settled in usual cases. However, kindly get detailed ophthalmological examination with an expert ophthalmologist and get further guidelines in this regard.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
