If its TB with
basal pneumonia on left side-it would be contagious and carries social risk of spread of TB and affection of colleague employees. dangerous
Just check up with family Physician and Chest Physician to rule out above possibilities.
Many other problems need to be ruled out, which could occur from left basal pneumonia, in not isolated from working place.
Do's-
Start treatment with Cap-
Augmentin 1 x 2 times / Brohchodialators / 1 x 2 times a day x for 10 days time.
Repeat X-ray Chest with recheck from Second
Radiologist, after a week is not going to help Much.
Support treatment with High protein diet / Vitamin Supplements/ enough fluids and Rest would help you to recoup fast.
Before starting Antibiotics,Get Sputum AFB and LCr test of sputum and IGRA
blood test to fix the diagnosis and cause of the Left Basal Pneumonia .
This would help to assess the extent of the damage in the lungs and the possibility of spread to contact people around.
Other causes needs to be ruled out by Consulting Chest Specialist.
Don't be callous to get examined with your doctor.
Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors,till you verify with your attending doctors.
There is Need to Check with Chest Physician , if things don't recover.
