Is Light Headedness A Side Effect Of Amlodipine?

I have been on amlodipine for years. My pulse is 53 to 59 and last blood pressure 114/76 but feel lightheaded a few times when bending over. So I stopped amlodipine . Is light headedness a side effect of amlodipine? Forget it. I did not know we had to pay?

As per your query Amlodipine is Blood pressure lowering drug and is used to reduced high blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

It belongs to a group of drugs known as CALCIUM CHANNEL BLOCKERS,
It helps by improving blood flow through blood vessels.

Light headedness is a side effect of amlodipine and if it occurs you should consult your doctor so that he can change the medicine or reduce its dose.

Self stoppage of medicine can be harmful as it can raise your blood pressure and cause harm to heart.
You can go for change of drug but not stoppage.

Avoid driving and going out alone in case of light headedness for safety purposes.
