Is Long Term Usage Of Clonazepam Prescribed For RLS Advisable?
I just spent 3 hours online reading about clonazepam. So many different ideas. I was prescribed 1mg at bedtime for RLS and intrusive racing thoughts that caused insomnia. i cut back to .5mg when I have bad nights. Is this drug safe for long-term use? Is it OK to take as a PRN or am I causing problems with constant withdrawal?
dear friend clonazepam is one of the alternatives available for the treatment or rather control of RLS which is any way a difficult illness to tackle associated insomnia due to the issues you have enumerated further justify its use. if it is able to give you good sleep induction and helps in the RLS there is no harm in taking it in prescribed dosage because the doctor prescribing it would have weighed all possible pro cons and long term effect before doing. more so if you keep reading about it you will get further confused and anxious about it because if you have noticed on the net there are more negative reviews of most of the issues than positive ones. Please have trust in your physician he has only your best interest in mind and you will get better relief
