Is Long Working Hours OK For A Pregnant Woman And The Baby?
Should I talk to my doctor about my work hours? I m 18 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I just started new working hours. 4am-6:30pm Monday-Friday. I also work weekends. 5 hours Saturday and 5 hours Sunday. So far I have no days off. I am on my feet sometimes but not all the time. It is a office job. Is it okay for the baby? And it is okay for the baby that i don t get a lot of sleep with my work hours? I get off at 6:30pm but when I get home I have to get stuff ready and eat and shower...so I end up going to be around 10pm...and I have to wake up at about 3am. I also wake up 3-4 times a night

Is Long Working Hours OK For A Pregnant Woman And The Baby?
Hello, Thanks for asking a question at HCM I will be glad to answer it for you. This is not absolutely okay in pregnancy. You have to have at least 8 hrs of sleep at night, and at least 2 hrs of bed rest in the afternoon. All the effects will be impacted on baby s growth. So, you need to talk about this to your office management. As the pregnancy progresses you need to rest more even. Hope this helps! Best Regards Dr Chaithanya
