Is Loss Of Body Balance One Of The Symptoms Of Flu?

My husband thought he had the flu but after about a day he is now unable to maintain his balance while walking. He has to hang to things to keep from falling. This doesn t sound like a flu symptom. He wants to wait until morning to go to the clinic..is that a good idea?

Many viral illnesses present with flu like symptoms. Some affect peripheral nerves starting from lower muscles and comes upwards. He has little time to get shots of immunoglobulins against that. The complication of the diseases is that it may involve respiratory muscles and leafs to a silent death due to paralysis of muscles of respiration.
Go to seek medical help as soon as possible.
