Is Low Platelet Count Dangerous And What Are The Common Treatment To Boost Up Platelet Levels?

I have just been told I have low platelet count.(120,000) I had thyroid removal 1 and a half years ago and am on Synthroid but have had no other problems other than adjusting to thyroid meds. How dangerous is this and what are the common treatments to help boost platelet levels?

Hello dear,
Platelet count of 1.2L on a single occasion need not be worried much. This is common with recent viral fevers etc.You can just repeat the test after few weeks, and see whether it gets corrected. If not,we have to find out the cause, and treat the cause.
1.2L is not a dangerously low level.Meanwhile, take plenty of green leaves and veges.
Wishing you healthy days ahead.Thank you.
