Is Low Bone Density In A Teenager A Side Effect Of Vyvanse?
My son is almost 13 he has been taking vyvanse for about 8 years and has recently broken his arm and now his finger. Is bone density a side effect of taking this medication? Should I be concerned or is it just my son being a normal 13 year old? ( He broke his arm when he fell off his bike and his finger playing football) Please help a concerned mother
Reduced bone density appears well in the X-ray, which he of course must have done after both injuries. If there was any bone density abnormalities, the radiologist would have reported it.
You should just advice him to be more careful during physical activities.
Thank you for choosing HCM. Best wishes.
