Is Lymph Node TB Contagious?

Hi i just want to ask if tb of the lymph nodes contagious? Thank you I went to my doctor had this neck ultrasound and result was multiple bilateral cervical lymph nodes.my esr, cbc and ldh were normal, but my ppd test is positive.i have no symptoms of ptb. he gave me first antibiotics, and advised for follow up after the treatment. if this is tb of the lymph nodes, is it contagious?im afraid because im living with kids. Thank you so much

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are worried about and want to know whether TB of lymph node is contagious.Pulmoary TB , that too with productive cough is contagious . So no need to worry much and get yourself treated as it is a treatable disease.If you have any confusion about diagnosis you can get your lymph not biopsy it will give you sure diagnosis and also exclude other conditions.
