Is Lymphoscintigraphy An Extremely Painful Procedure?
I am scheduled for a Lymphoscintigraphy on Monday. What pain can I expect during the injection? I know a few women who have gone through this and they said it s the worst pain they have ever had. Also, is there anything they can give me so I don t feel the needle?

Lymphoscintigraphy or sentinel lymph node mapping is an imaging technique that is used to identify the lymph drainage basin and mark the sentinel node over the skin for a biopsy.
It is a painful procedure. However, adding local anesthetic to tracer liquid injection reduces pain during sentinel lymph node surgery.
