Is Medical Attention Necessary For Bruising And Swelling In The Foot And Ankles?

About two weeks ago I bruised my legs near the foot/ankle region . They have been swollen bruised since that time. Was checked by physician a week ago and he found no evidence of blood clot. However my left leg is now red and remains swollen and very tender too touch. Should I worry about a clot at this point?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome to HCM.
You seem to have developed inflammation of the soft tissue or cellulitis due to infection following bruising.
You need to be examined by a doctor for a course of appropriate antibiotic and pain killers.
Hope this answers your query.
Best regards.
