Is Medical Attention Needed If The Finger Knuckle Is Purple/red After A Cut While Chopping?
Two days ago I cut my finger while chopping vegetables. The cut happened below my nail but above the finger knuckle. I immediately rinsed the cut, applied pressure with a cloth and then about a half hour after it finished bleeding, I put on a band-aid. Yesterday I took off the band-aid and left it off. Earlier today I noticed it started to bleed just a little again but I left it. I noticed around an hour ago that my finger knuckle was purple and red. It does not hurt, nor does the cut. I applied polysporin and a fresh band-aid to the cut. Do I need to seek medical attention?

I really appreciate your concern it is all depends upon the cut (laceration ) if it is deep have cut the vessels then this medical emergency, if you feel that would is deep then it is better to see the surgeon, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
